Preface
The first Algorithmic Number Theory Symposium (ANTS) conference was hosted by Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA in 1994. The goal of the conference was to bring together number theorists from around the world, and to advance theoretical and practical research in the field. ANTS I was soon followed by conferences in Bordeaux, France in 1996, Portland, Oregon, USA in 1998, Leiden, in the Netherlands in 2000, Sydney, Australia in 2002, and Burlington, Vermont, USA in 2004.
