Amisulpride/olanzapine Tardive dyskinesia: case report A woman was admitted in May 2008, at 56 years of age, with symptoms characterised as generalised anxiety disorder. Since the early 1990s she had intermittently received antidepressants (clomipramine, milnacipran), antipsychotics (olanzapine and amisulpride [dosages, routes of administration and duration of treatments not stated]) and memantine for psychiatric complaints, initially presenting as paranoia and anxiety. Examination led to a diagnosis of neurofibromatosis type I (NF-1). Neurological evaluation revealed oromandibular dyskinesia and rightsided loss of movement [time to onset not stated]. Antipsychotic-induced tardive dyskinesia was suspected, and she received clozapine [outcome not stated]. Author comment: Due to the delay in diagnosing NF-1, the woman was subjected to inappropriate antipsychotic use and developed drug-induced dyskinesia. Kilicoglu G, et al.
