Anaphylaxis: 3 case reports In a review of 275 cases of childhood anaphylaxis in the United states in year 2016, 3 male infants aged 4–10 months were described, who developed anaphylaxis (including skin, GI tract or respiratory tract) to nystatin, ceftriaxone or amoxicillin [not all routes stated, indications, time to reaction onsets and outcomes not stated]. Patient 1: The 4-month-old male infant, who received oral nystatin developed anaphylaxis. The body systems involved in the anaphylaxis were skin and respiratory system. Subsequently, he was treated with 2 doses of racemic epinephrine, single dose of epinephrine with diphenhydramine, ranitidine and dexamethasone. Patient 4: The 6-month-old male infant, who received ceftriaxone developed anaphylaxis. The body systems involved in the anaphylaxis were skin and GI system. Subsequently, he was treated epinephrine and albuterol. Patient 9: The 10-month-old male infant, who received amoxicillin developed anaphylaxis. The body systems involved in the anaphylaxis were skin and respiratory system.
