Acute kidney injury: case report A 59-year-old man developed acute kidney injury during treatment with amphotericin B liposomal for cutaneous Paecilomyces infection. The man was admitted with a 3-week history of the right leg redness, swelling and pain. He underwent heart transplantation 2 months prior to the current presentation. Investigation revealed cutaneous Paecilomyces infection. He initially began receiving amphotericin B liposomal 3 mg/kg daily, along with concomitant posaconazole and doxycycline. The man’s amphotericin B was discontinued on hospital day 4 because acute kidney injury was evident [time to reaction onset and outcome not stated]. Martinez E, et al.
