Abstract At present, the research results on the stability and reinforcement range of the subgrade when the high-speed railway traverses the edge of a large goaf are still scarce. Taking Guinan high-speed railway traversing the edge of the mined-out area of the Dapan well as the research object, high-speed rail load transfer depth and height of goaf impact were analyzed, Researching the stability of high-speed railway subgrade and the reinforcement range of goaf. The results show that Mined-out edge cracks more obvious development, High-speed railway subgrade at the edge of the goaf is more harmful than when located directly above the goaf; On the No.1 well goaf, the overlap zone between the height of the caving fissure zone and the depth of influence of the high-speed railway load appears, but the height of the goaf in the extremely soft rock will extend to the surface; The high-speed railway subgrade is mainly affected by the residual deformation of the gob of the Dapan well. At last, the reasonable reinforcement range is given through the finite element numerical calculation. Keywords High-speed railway The edge of goaf Scope of influence Stability analysis

1 Introduction The high-speed railway construction in China is stepping into a new phrase of picking up speed and expanding in scale and the faster the train is developed, the smoother the railway is required to be. As the major component of train carrying and track construction, the roadbed is one of the key elements influencing the smoothness of the railway. However, a coal mining giant as China would have many minedout regions underground after tens of years’ mining. Some even haven’t collapsed yet. When the train is passing through such areas, the stability of the land will be hard to control which will directly affect the safety of the high-speed railway. So, it is very necessary to carry out researches on the stability of the roadbed in mined-out regions where the highspeed railway pass. In terms of stability analysis of mined-out area, Five structural size factors as evaluation indexes, namely, the span of goaf, the exposed area of goaf, the thickness of goaf, the depth of goaf and the width of ore pillar was selected, to evaluate the high-density geological exploration of underground mines, and to determine the weight of evaluation indexes based on the rough credibility of rough set theory (Hu et al. 2015). And the similar material model was used to study the foundation deformation of new buildings in the old goaf and the existing settlement and deformation of the old goaf (Li et al. 2012). A dynamic
