atolii Alekseevich Logunov (On His 80th Birthday) PACS numbers: DOI: 10.1134/S1063779607010066

December 30, 2006, Academician Anatolii Alekseevich Logunov, world renown physician and prominent organizer of science and higher education in Russia, turned 80. He had closely cooperated with our journal over his entire long-term creative activity. His original results on investigations of urgent problems of elementary particle physics, as well as a large cycle of works devoted to the development of new representations of spacetime and relativistic field gravitation theory, were published in the journal Physics of Particles and Nuclei. The bibliography of reviews published in our journal indicates the wideness of Logunov’s scientific interests, as well as the depth and significance of the problems he studied. The editorial board of the jour-

nal Physics of Particles and Nuclei warmly congratulates Anatolii Alekseevich on this remarkable jubilee, wishes him strong health, new scientific achievements, and continued cooperation with our journal.
