Announcement International Symposium on Aujeszky's Disease Virus
Budapest, Hungary, August 29-31, 1993
A symposium in honour of Aladar Aujeszky (1869-1933), former Professor and Director of the Institute of Microbiology of the Veterinary High School in Budapest, organized by the European Society for Veterinary Virology and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Scientific Committee: A. Bartha, S. Edwards, M. Eloit, A. Gielkens, A. Jestin, B. Liess, B. Lomniczi, T. Mettenleiter, P. P. Pastoret, E. Thlry. Provisional Programme: On August 29 a memorial plaque will be unveiled. On the following two days, after the Aujeszky Memorial Lecture and a keynote lecture these topics will be dealt with: recombinational events in Aujeszky's disease virus, genome organisation, latency, functional role of genes, new developments in diagnosis, biology of the infection, immunology of the infection.
