Abstract Purpose  To evaluate the effectiveness of anteroposterior dissection three-lobe technique for surgeons with no prior experience of holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) Methods  In this retrospective single-center study, we compared perioperative complications and postoperative urinary conditions between an experienced surgeon and surgeons with no prior experience of HoLEP. Forty patients were operated by one experienced surgeon (group A), and another 40 patients were operated by four inexperienced surgeons (group B) under the guidance of the instructor. The enucleation procedure was performed by anteroposterior dissection three-lobe technique.
