I am grateful to know that the publication of the atlas—Climate Change: Responsibility and Obligation of Human Society—and to write preface for it. Congratulations to the authors for their new achievements! The atlas presented the latest modelling outputs from the state-of-the-art earth system models to understand human’s historical responsibility to climate change and obligation for future reduction of emission. Its experiments design is in light to Future Earth’s themes, which try to use the earth system models to link human society’s emission reduction commitment with climate change, giving meaningful and interesting results.
