Nowadays, the globalization environment and fierce competition have forced companies worldwide to place significant efforts to improve their performance and be more competitive to stay in the market. Since the Industrial Revolution, several methodologies and concepts have been introduced to support manufacturing companies to reduce costs and increase their productivity and efficiency in their operations.
