Transient facial nerve paralysis: case report A 55-year-old woman developed transient facial nerve paralysis following injection of botulinum-toxin-A for chronic migraine. The woman presented with complete right facial nerve weakness within 6 days of administration of botulinum-toxin-A [OnabotulinumtoxinA; route not stated]. She was injected at the sites that were identified in the PREEMPT study. She received a total dose of 155 units. She was prescribed oral corticosteroids to be received for 10 days.
