Preface

This book contains revised and extended versions of a set of selected papers from the Second International Symposium on Business Modeling and Software Design (BMSD 2012), held in Geneva, Switzerland. The symposium was organized and sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Institute for Collaboration and Research on Enterprise Systems and Technology (IICREST), in cooperation with the Center for Telematics and Information Technology (CTIT), the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC), and the Technical University of Sofia, and was hosted by the University of Geneva. Bringing together researchers and practitioners interested in business modeling and its relationship to software design, BMSD demonstrated for a second consecutive year a high quality of papers
