This book explores the role and interaction of global economic policy uncertainties and shifts, and capital flow episodes on the South African credit markets and real economic activity. The book is divided into six parts that address the various aspects of these economic themes, whilst filling existing academic and policy research gaps. Various statistical and econometric techniques are applied to capture the various aspects of the transmission of global and domestic shocks into the South African macro- economy. Furthermore, these statistical and econometric techniques are used to assess the robustness of the empirical findings and the policy implications derived from the results.
