Mucositis: case report A 3-year-old boy developed mucositis while receiving carboplatin and doxorubicin for hepatoblastoma. The boy, who had hepatoblastoma, started receiving IV carboplatin 75 mg/m2 one hour infusion on day 15 and doxorubicin 30 mg/m2 [route not stated] on days 15 and 16 along with cisplatin. After the first cycle, he developed grade 3 mucositis. After completion of carboplatin dose of cycle 1, mucositis was resolved. The doses of carboplatin and doxorubicin were decreased to 50% and 75% respectively, for second and third cycles, which were well tolerated. Nijstad AL, et al.
