Abstract In this paper, the nonlinear multi-agent system which contains uncertainty and is controlled by state-constraint impulsive protocol is taken into consideration. For the uncertainty of the multi-agent system, it is replaced by fuzzy logic system approximately and a judgement strategy which only contains the relative information with neighbors is proposed in this paper. In order to do research in state-constraint impulsive protocol, three kinds of impulsive control protocols which conclude partial input saturation, double actuator saturation and single actuator saturation are discussed. Then, some sufficient conditions of the system are obtained to reach consensus. Finally, some numerical simulation examples are provided to prove the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis. Keywords Multi-agent system · Fuzzy logic system · Impulsive protocol · Partial input saturation · Actuator saturation
1 Introduction With the development of the theory of multi-agent system, it has been widely used in flocking, formation control, robot cooperation, synchronization problems, cooperative decision-making, etc, so there exist many researches put forward in the consensus problem in order to improve the theory. In a multi-agent system, the consensus problem is that each agent exchanges information with neighbors to ensure the states of all agents reach an agreement. The control protocol is a method which handle with the consensus problem among all the agents. As mentioned above, many scholars had focused on the model of multi-agent systems. In [1–8], the model of integrator and first-order multi-agent systems which concluded linear and nonlinear behaviors had been studied. In [9–13], the consensus issue of second-order * Chuandong Li [email protected] Le You [email protected] Yiyan Han [email protected] 1

multi-agent system which was controlled by impulsive had been considered. The sufficient conditions had been given out in those papers. The synchronization problem of higherorder dynamics had been taken into consideration in [14]. However, there exists uncertainty in most industrial applications recently, the fuzzy logic system have become a hot topic. In this paper, the fuzzy modeling consensus issue of multi-agent system will be investigated. In the last few decades, the stability analysis of impulsive control system had also attracted many researchers’ attentions [15–21]. In [19], the authors considered the topic of complex dynamical networks with time-delay under impulsive control. In [20], the state-constraint impulsive c
