Lack of efficacy and stretch marks on abdomen and trunk: case report A 31-year-old man developed red stretch marks on abdomen and trunk, and exhibited lack of efficacy while being treated with mesalazine and unspecified corticosteroids for Crohn’s disease [routes, dosages, duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated]. The man, who had severe Crohn’s disease, started receiving therapy with mesalazine [5-ASA] and unspecified corticosteroids. However, he did not exhibit clinical remission of Crohn’s disease (lack of efficacy) and also developed red stretch marks on abdomen and trunk. The man was then treated with azathioprine and showed clinical improvement. Later, he received infliximab, which resulted in mucosal healing. Anton C, et al.
