Preface
The 10th International Symposium on Database Programming Languages, DBPL 2005, was held in Trondheim, Norway in August 2005. DBPL 2005 was one of 11 meetings to be co-located with VLDB (the International Conference on Very Large Data Bases). DBPL continues to present the very best work at the intersection of database and programming language research. DBPL 2005 accepted 17 papers out of a total of 63 submissions; an acceptance rate of 27%. Every submission was reviewed by at least three members of the program committee. In addition, the program committee sought the opinions of 51 additional referees, selected because of their expertise on particular topics. Th
