Blickbewegungen spielen eine enorm wichtige Rolle bei der Informationsaufnahme aus unserer Umwelt. Nur in einem kleinen Bereich des Gesichtsfelds, so groß wie der Daumennagel auf Armlänge, erreichen wir die optimale Sehschärfe. Gerade für die Steuerung von Bewegungen ist diese präzise Information dringlich von Nöten. Leider wurden Blickbewegungen bislang vornehmlich in ganz einfachen Konfigurationen untersucht, bei denen der Blick zum Beispiel auf einen peripher dargebotenen Punkt gerichtet werden muss. Die Master-Arbeit von Elena Hitzel beschreitet hier einen gänzlich neuen innovativen Ansatz.
