Preface
Nowadays, the industrialization significantly promotes the progress and application of elastoplasticity. Various new demands and phenomena emerged, which related to the development of materials with high ductility and strength in recent years. Therefore, it requires an appropriate description to present the wide classes of elastoplastic behaviors of such materials. In 2008, a book entitled “Notch Strength and Notch Sensitivity of Materials” (authored by Zheng X., Wang H., Zheng M., and Wang F. H., Science Press, Beijing, China) was published, which is devoted to quantitatively characterize the notch strength and notch sensitivity of both ductile and brittle materials, and aimed to formulate the fracture criteria for notched structures. The present authors have made up their mind to publish the current book as an accompanying contribution to ductile materials, especially due to their wide applications. In writing this book, the fundamental knowledge
