‘Enhancing employability in higher education through work based learning’ is written at a time when there is increased focus on integrating real life work experience into degree courses. This repositioning of work based learning has been accelerated by debate on the learning gain of students’ university experience through to employment. This book responds to this refocus by presenting innovative initiatives within higher education curriculum where work based learning is seen as a wide and transformative pedagogy for students. The book is intended to inspire and guide all university staff who are instrumental in the integration of work and learning as part of students’ university experience.
