Surgical site bleeding: case report In a single centre study conducted in Singapore involving patients, who underwent elective neurosurgery between 1 May 2014 and 1 May 2016, one patient [age and sex not stated] was described, who developed surgical site bleeding during treatment with enoxaparin sodium for deep vein thrombosis [duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated]. The patient was hospitalised and underwent elective spinal neurosurgery. Post-surgery, the patient was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and was started on SC anticoagulant therapy with enoxaparin sodium [enoxaparin] 1 mg/kg twice a day. Eventually, the patient developed surgical site bleeding and haematoma, which required wound reopening and evacuation of haematoma. Cheang MY, et al.
