(1) Sentence after Eq. [10]; The enthalpy changes calculated from Figure 5 and Eq. [10] for each system were 193.7 and 125.3 kJ/mol, respectively, indicating that the dissolution was an exothermic reaction. (2) Sentence after Eq. [12]; The value of DHod is estimated to be approximately 160.5 and 92.1 kJ/ mol, respectively, for the high (70 mass pct) silica and the moderate (33 mass pct) silica concentrations.
