Dad, throughout his life, had interesting ways to get his ideas or points across. He would listen to your thoughts whether you agreed with him or not. He would then discuss both sides with you, and somehow you would end up agreeing with him.

Case in Point In third grade, some of my friends wore glasses, so I decided that wearing glasses would help me see better and fit in with the others. I thought I had convinced Dad that this was a good idea. Even though he disagreed with me, he said we would go to the eye doctor. The day after my appointment, Dad brought home my new glasses and put them on me. He asked if I could see better, and I said “yes.” Then, he removed the glasses and put his fingers through where the lenses should have been. Dad had a way to help people see better. All faith communities have a mission of health and salvation. This “calls” the faith community to reach out, not only to the local community, but worldwide community. A most important mission of the faith community, however, is reaching in and being supportive in creating a healthy environment for all of its members within in order to insure th
