RESULTS
Most of the experiments were done on polycrystalline 2024 aluminum and a few on polycrystalline OFHC copper. Specimens were machined from bars to a gage length L o of 0.75 in. with a diam of 0.25 in., and annealed for 1 hr at 400~ All deformations were carried out at room temperature.
