Industries are man-made. They develop and change. They create opportunities and influence our lives. In this book, Prof. Olavi Uusitalo in a very insightful way tracks, describes and analyses the impacts of technological change on the structures of the flat glass industry in the U.S. and American markets with particular focus on the emergence and diffusion of float glass technology in two independent subindustries, sheet glass and plate glass in the markets mentioned above.
