Hepatic damage and mucocutaneous damage: case report A 44-year-old woman developed hepatic and mucocutaneous damage during treatment with folinic acid, fluorouracil and oxaliplatin for heterotopic pancreas adenocarcinoma in the stomach [route, doses; not all outcome stated]. The woman presented with various gastrointestinal symptoms. Gastrointestinal tumour was noted. She underwent gastrectomy. Based on investigations, she was diagnosed to have heterotopic pancreas adenocarcinoma in the stomach. A cyclical chemotherapy with folinic acid, fluorouracil and oxaliplatin [FOLFOX-6 regimen; routes and doses not stated] was started. However, after three cycles, she developed hepatic and mucocutaneous damage due to FOLFOX-6 regimen. Therefore, the woman’s chemotherapy was changed to gemcitabine monotherapy with improvement in cancer markers [outcomes of ADRs not stated]. Xiong Y, et al.
