As the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) approaches its 21st birthday, I am delighted to write the foreword for this history book. The Royal Charter was granted in 1996, and I have been the Patron of the College since that year. I have been pleased to see the charity grow in size and influence over the years.
