PREFACE
This Lecture Notes volume (a sequel to 1108, 1214, 1334 and 1453) continues the presentation to English speaking readers of the Voronezh University Press series "Novoe v global 'nom analize" (New Developments in Global Analysis) which is based on the seminars on Global Analysis in Voronezh University and Annual Voronezh Winter Mathematical Schools. Here we pUblish the articles selected from two issues of the series entitled "Algebraic questions of Analysis and Topology" (1990) and "Nonlinear Operators in Global Analysis" (1991), so the articles are divided into two chapters whose scopes are centred at the above topics. Some papers (e.g. the paper by Yu.E.Gliklikh of the first chapter and the paper by B.Yu.Sternin and V.E.Shatalov of the second one) are revised and expanded specially for this edition. That is why we break the tradition and do not indicate the year of the original pUblication of the chapters in the Contents. We are indebted to the members of the editorial board of the series (A.T.Fomenko, A.S.Mishchenko, S.P.Novikov, M.M.Postnikov, A.M.vershik et al.) and to the sponsor of the Russian issue of 1991, Voronezh Construction and Technology
