Multisystem toxicities: 4 case reports In a retrospective study of 376 patients performed between 11 May 2011 to 31 December 2017 in China, 4 paediatric patients (3 girls and 1 boy) [ages not stated] were described, who developed thrombocytopenic purpura (TP), convulsions, cyanosis of the lips or stiffness and bending of the limbs following vaccination with Hib-DTaP-poliovirus-vaccine [dosages, durations of treatments to reactions onsets and outcomes not stated]. All the four patients received IM Hib-DTaP-poliovirus-vaccine [DTaP-IPV/Hib; Pentaxim] injection on the thigh (3 patients) or upper arm (1 patient). Of the four patients, in year 2012, a girl developed TP after inoculation in the thigh, and a boy developed cyanosis of the lips, convulsions, and bending and stiffness of the limbs after inoculation in the thigh. In year 2013, 2 girls developed TP after inoculation in the thigh or upper arm, out of which 1 girl, who received vaccine in the thigh, developed fever >40.5°C after injection and was hospitalised.
