In the many presentations about Practice as Research I have made across the UK and, indeed, worldwide, over the past two decades, I have frequently been asked for good examples of specific applications of my PaR process model. For various reasons—not least the confidentiality of formal research audits (RAE, REF)—it has been difficult to point colleagues towards good examples of PaR in process. I am delighted, then, that Palgrave Pivot has afforded a space for Jo Scott to share her PaR PhD project which I co-supervised with Experience Bryon at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London. The project and the book have two key dimensions: PaR and intermediality. I introduce them in that order.
