IUMRS-ICAM 2007 to Be Held in Bangalore in October 2007 www.icam2007.com The International Union of Materials Research Societies’ International Conference on Advanced Materials (IUMRSICAM 2007) will be held at Hotel Grand Ashok in Bangalore, India, October 8–13, 2007. Plenary and public lectures and 25 technical symposia will offer a range of topics of contemporary importance for science, engineering, and technology of materials. An exhibition will be organized in conjunction with the conference, bringing together industry representatives from around the world. IUMRS-ICAM 2007 is chaired by S.B. Krupanidhi of the Indian
Institute of Science (IISc) and co-chaired by K.T. Jacob (IISc). It is being organized by the Materials Research Society of India (MRS-I) in association with IISc and the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, and is supported by the Department of Science and Technology, the government of India, the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, the Department of Atomic Energy, the Defence Research Development Organization, the Indian Space Research Organization, and the Department of Biotechnology. ICAM is held every two years.
The previous conferences in this series were held in Beijing, China (1999); Cancun, Mexico (2001); Yokohama, Japan (2003); and Singapore (2005).
