Knowledge computing plays a key role in the current information age. Processing of huge amounts of data and extracting relevant knowledge is a central part of data science today. A glance at this book and its organization shows that it provides a comprehensive collection of contributions covering current directions, challenges, and applications in the field of knowledge computing. The contributions deal with different dimensions of knowledge processing exemplified by a broad spectrum of applications. The tools and methodologies underlying the contributions provide a state-of-the-art glimpse into modern knowledge computing. This book consists of five parts divided into two volumes: Volume I: (1) knowledge manipulation techniques for Internet technologies, (2) knowledge computing for large organizations, (3) knowledge computing and competency development; Volume II: (
