Preface

This book was prepared within the MGIMO University the Center for Comprehensive Chinese Studies and Regional Projects (Moscow, the Russian Federation). All three authors are working there in their capacities of a director (full time) and research leads (part time), all participated in a series of discussions and roundtables of the Russian academic and analytical community organized under the auspices of the Centre with a benefit to absorb knowledge from sinologists of various generations.
