Increase in arterial blood pressure: case report In a study of 90 patients, a man [age not stated] was described, who developed increase in arterial blood pressure during treatment with meloxicam for low back pain. The man was diagnosed with low-back pain and started receiving IM meloxicam [Amelotex] 1.5mL (1 ampoule) every day scheduled for 5 days along with vitamin-B-complex [Compligam B]. Further, it was planned to switched from IM meloxicam to meloxicam 15 mg/day pills. However, he had a persistent increase in arterial blood pressure to 180/100 mmHg secondary to meloxicam [duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated]. Hence, meloxicam was discontinued and the man was treated with unspecified medication. But, appropriate result was not obtained [outcome not stated]. Dadasheva MN, et al.
