Preface
The seventh German Conference on Multi-Agent System Technologies (MATES 2009) took place in Hamburg, Germany, during September 9–11, 2009, and was colocated with the tenth International Workshop on Computational Logic in Multi-Agent Systems (CLIMA X) and the Fifth International Workshop on Modelling of Objects, Components, and Agents (MOCA 2009). MATES 2009 was organized by the German “Gesellschaft für Informatik” (GI) Special Interest Groups on “Distributed Artificial Intelligence” and “Communication and Distributed Systems” in cooperation with the Steering Committee of MATES. One main aim of the MATES conference series consists in bringing together researchers from around the world and providing a fruitful discussion basis for exchanging ideas and sharing the newest scientific results. Since its inception in 2003, MATES has been colocated with mainstream software engineering conferences like the Net.ObjectDays as well as with the German Artificial Intelligence
