This is the first Volume of the Series Sustainability in Plant and Crop Protection, produced thanks to the enthusiastic dedication and endless efforts of the Volume Editor, Raquel Campos Herrera, and all the contributing authors. The Series stems from the previous Integrated Management of Plants Pests and Diseases Series that I had the pleasure to edit until its completion with the late Prof. K. G. Mukerji.
