Modern Psychiatric Surgery and Old Fears Although it is acceptable to prescribe medication to patients, damping brain circuitry, to a point that the patients’ cognition, sexual function, balance, and motor function are impaired, surgical procedures to improve brain function, guided to a specific disturbance detected by functional imaging are still in their infancy, chiefly for established psychiatric diseases. It is important that the specificity of t
