Loss of INR control in an elderly patient: case report A 66-year-old woman, who had a history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and atrial fibrillation, was receiving warfarin [route and dosage not stated] for the prevention of systemic embolism. Over the past few months, her INR control became erratic. She required a lower warfarin dose to maintain an INR of 2.0 to 3.0. Over the same period, she was receiving paracetamol at a dosage up to 650mg four time daily for back pain [route, time to reaction onset and patient outcome not stated]. Lopes RD, et al.
