This volume is the fall out of a capacity building endeavor initiated in 2007 in the Department of Economics of the University of Calcutta, India, under the aegis of Special Assistance Program of the University Grants Commission in the form of Departmental Research Support (DRS) over the Eleventh Five Year Plan period (2007–2012).
