Abstract-Efficient hydrogen production was achieved by. irradiating ~lutions containing polysulfide dyes as a photoabv~rber. In the presence of poIysulfide only, considerable amount of hydrogen was initially.' e'~,ol~,edand lbl|owed t,3, the rapid decrease of the evolution rate. On the contrary, in the co-presence of NiO,(x
