Preface
Overview The objective of this book is to consider a selection of technology firms that have made important contributions to the computing field. The goal is to provide a brief introduction to each selected company and to give a concise account of its key contributions. It is not feasible, due to space constraints, to consider all of those technology firms that merit inclusion, and the selection chosen inevitably reflects the bias of the author.
