Pirfenidone Fatigue: case report In an observational study (PROOF registry) of 277 patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) enrolled between October 2013 and January 2016, a patient* [age and sex not stated] was described, who developed fatigue during treatment with pirfenidone for IPF. Treatment with pirfenidone was temporarily discontinued due to this adverse drug reaction [dosage, route, duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated]. Author comment: "Pirfenidone treatment was temporarily discontinued. . .around one quarter of the temporary discontinuations. . .were reported to be due to an ADR, including. . .fatigue in one patient". * Only one indentifiable patient with ADR.
