Preface Porous structures are widely encountered in almost all disciplines of science and engineering. Heat transfer is one of the critical topics in research and application of porous media. Due to such inherently pseudo-continuous characteristic, thermal transport in porous media exhibits many novel behaviors which are usually absent in non-porous media. In the last decades, numerical simulation has been increasingly employed in the scientific investigation and practical application of heat transfer in porous media. This Special Issue provides a top-notch platform for researchers in the area of numerical heat transfer to report their most up-to-date high-quality progress and highlight the possible future directions from their professional insights. Theoretical derivation, model development, engineering application, and experimental validation on advanced numerical heat transfer in porous media from nano- to environmental scales have been majorly covered in this Special Issue. Following the Call for Papers in July 2019, about 90 papers have been submitted to be considered for possible publication in this Special Issue. All papers were reviewed
