Abstract During the process of continuous promotion of the computer technologies, the network virtualization technology is as well-being continuously researched and applied. Storage virtualization is an important structure of the computer virtualization technology. The users still puzzle over the application and realization of this kind of new technology. In order to promote the application of the storage virtualization technology, this paper mainly makes analysis on the following problems such as the application advantages, the key technologies and the countermeasures and so on of the storage virtualization technology. Introduction
From the professional perspective of computer, storage virtualization is a concept and term used within computer science. Specifically, storage systems may use virtualization concepts as a tool to enable better functionality and more advanced features within the storage system. A huge “storage pool” is thus built. This kind of virtualization pool is the collection place of all kinds of data information. The data information can be transferred when the users are in need of [1]. In the new era, the promotion of the storage virtualization technology is beneficial to the improvement of the computer functions. It is convenient to the application of a great deal of users.

The Application Advantages of the Storage Virtualization
The computer storage virtualization technology not only promotes the adjustment of the computer networking functions, but also creates an operational platform of diversifications to the users. The advantages of the storage virtualization technology are shown as the followings:

After the users apply the virtual storage technology in the computers, they are able to integrate all kinds of data and information so as to make collocations and treatments.

Lower the Costs
The foundation of a virtualization operation platform is much earlier than the foundation of a practical data treatment platform. As for the foundation of a practical data treatment platform, it needs to add a great amount of hardware equipments, which has contributed to relatively large costs in the investment [2]. As for the storage virtualization, it needs to deal with the information through the service protocol, which has greatly lowered the operation costs for the entire process.
