Abstract In order to ensure the safety of coal mining process, in this study, the coal mine survey technology based on nano-fibers is analyzed and Marston-Spangler theory is used to calculate the vertical earth pressure, and then evaluate the safety of coal mining process. The research results show that the whole process of coal mining by using advanced nano-fiber material technology is discussed, including geological survey, mine development and layout, establishment of related facilities, and coal mining and transportation systems. It is better to evaluate the safety performance of the whole process by the earth pressure and the internal force of the structure. The larger the slope angle is, the greater the vertical earth pressure and the cross-section internal force are. The internal water pressure has little influence on the lateral bending moment of the structure, thus increasing the circumferential tension. It can be seen that the research on the safety performance of coal mining process based on nano-fiber materials is helpful to find out the unsafe factors of coal mining process, and then to evaluate the safety performance, which is of great significance for coal mining enterprises to obtain economic benefits. Introduction With the continuous exploitation of energy, coal occupies more than 70% of the country’s disposable energy composition and consumption structure. With the proposal of the concept of green sustainable development, the demand for coal and other energy sources has not decreased but has continued to increase (Bertram et al. 2017). In the development of coal resources, coal mine geological survey is the foundation. Whether it is the understanding of the geological engineering conditions of the coal mine area or the safety guarantee of the This article is part of the Topical Collection on Geological Modeling and Geospatial Data Analysis * Pengfei Yang [email protected] 1

mine construction and coal mining, the selection of survey technical means is critical (Qi et al. 2017). Therefore, it is greatly significant to accelerate the pace of coal resources exploration and ensure the sustainable supply of coal resources to promote China’s economic development and resource utilization. Geological survey supported by technology has been more and more widely used in people’s field of vision. The field da
