As the President of the World Maritime University (WMU), I am pleased to introduce the fourth volume of the WMU Studies in Maritime Affairs book series published by Springer, titled Shipping Operations Management. The series was launched in 2013 to encourage academics and practitioners from all areas of specialisation across the field of maritime affairs to contribute to the expansion of knowledge through publications of the highest quality and market relevance.
