This book is the result of over six years of research I have been involved with on transient migration and diversity. I first started my adventure into the wonders and complexities of transient human migration and mobility in 2011 when my treasured colleague and friend Shanton Chang invited me to be on a project looking into the informationseeking behaviour of international students. Since then, Shanton and I have worked together designing projects and concepts that engage with this important and fast-changing field of migration and mobility in the communication space. I am utterly grateful to the Australian Research Council who funded my Discovery Early Career (DECRA) Fellowship (DE130100551) on the everyday lives of transient migrants in Australia and Singapore.
