Let’s be honest, how many of us really understand the anatomy of the skull base and know of all the lesions that arise there? I dare to say that if you are not dedicated to head and neck imaging, the answer is: very few. Skull base anatomy and pathology are something that is taught in medical school and the process of learning those stretches throughout our entire professional lives. The reason for this may be the way in which it is taught. This book tries to do this in a different way. Instead of the conventional details of all structures and lesions found there, the present book approaches the skull base on a case by case basis. Although the list of cases is not all inclusive, the lesions presented here are those most commonly found in this region.
