Abstract. This paper analyzes features of transmitting and receiving noise-like data packets with a variable base in a wireless channel. Taking into account distortions caused by channel noise in components of noise-like signals of code and signal sequences of packets, high-speed algorithms are proposed for transmitting and receiving highly informative packets on the basis of code sequences transmitted in the form of adaptive noise-like signals. Keywords: noise-like signal, code-signal sequence, packet data transmission in radio networks, high-speed algorithm for transmitting and receiving noise-like code-signal sequences. INTRODUCTION The efficiency of applying computer networks in different fields of human activity including the information support of corporations, enterprises, and collectives is reached owing to the use of wireless information transmission media. Radio networks play a special role in ensuring the operative, reliable, and secure (crypto-resistant and noise-immune) transmission of various data including video data from moving and motionless objects, measurement signals and quantities, and also data arrays from remote objects being monitored to internetworking tools including the Internet. Problems such as the construction of intelligent and energy efficient houses and cities, protection of objects and individuals, video monitoring of objects, remote monitoring of industrial enterprises, quality control of technological processes, ecological monitoring of territories, organization of communication with mobile robots, moving objects, and pilotless apparatuses, monitoring of objects and processes in agriculture, and on-line monitoring of functional states of athletes and patients are most efficiently solved with applying sensory radio networks with self-organization of transmission and retransmission of data packets (DPs) between Internet access points, databases, servers, sites, etc. A low rate, a low noise immunity, and a small operating distance in transmitting data packets in sensor networks in the “point-to-point” mode stipulated the problem of organization of high-speed, reliable, and secure transmission of packets through radio channels with a bounded working bank in the ISM radio band in constructing widely applied wireless networks. The mentioned problems inherent in communication facilities of “the last mile” are solved owing to the adaptive transmission of packets with extended information capacities as a result of implementing transceivers of object and abonent (subscriber) systems (ASs) of sensor networks on the basis of interval code-signal sequences (CSSs) of DPs [1, 2] including noise-like DP CSSs transmitting n -bit (n ³ 2 ) sequences. The objective of this article is the development of high-speed algorithms of digital receivers of noise-like DP CSSs with variable base. Note that, in addition to the formation and transmission of highly informative packets,
