I am excited to present the first textbook focused on proximal hamstring injuries and their management. The vast majority of hamstring injuries seen in the office are strains of the hamstring muscle and treatment tends to be straightforward for the general orthopedist. Proximal hamstring injury treatment is much more complex and less well studied. Presenting you with this textbook was only possible because of the breadth of knowledge and expertise of our contributors. All contributing authors worked hard to provide clinically useful information and pearls for our readers. As a team, we feel that we truly have covered proximal injuries from A to Z and our writing is based on the most cutting-edge techniques and most recent high-quality research.
